What is New Home Mystery Shopping?
To evaluate the performance of sales associates, shoppers pose as potential new homebuyers, visit a homebuilder’s model center while covertly video recording the sales associate. In states with a two-party consent requirement for audio/video recording, MB&C requires signed releases from all sales associates to be shopped.

Prospective Mystery Shoppers
We are looking for candidates who match the following criteria*:
- Are available weekdays from 10am to 6pm and have reliable transportation.
- Live in the continental United States ONLY.
- Have prior experience as a mystery shopper, preferably using video.
- Ability to realistically portray first-time homebuyers to luxury homebuyers and everything in between.
- Desired demographics: women, minorities, veterans, millennials, and active adults (age 55+) all encouraged to apply.
- Are professional, detail-oriented, responsible, and calm under pressure.
- Can pass a criminal background check.

Mystery Shopper Scams
Unfortunately, the mystery shopping industry has frequently been the target of scammers. Scammers, posing as legitimate mystery shopping companies, will often send text messages or emails with a shop assignment and request the shopper provide personal information to accept the job.
Melinda Brody & Company requires all shoppers to register through our website before they are eligible for any shop assignments. Additionally, all shop details will only be provided through your shopper account.
*Melinda Brody & Company will never ask you to purchase gift cards or mail you a check prior to a shop.
